The Third National Congress on Biology-Biodiversity, Biotechnology and Bioinformatics was held at Empire Hotel and Country Club, Bandar Seri Begawan, 4 December 2005. The Guest of Honour was YM Dato Paduka Dr Awang Hj Ismail bin Hj Duraman, Vice Chancellor of Universiti Brunei Darussalam.
The Congress was supported by Research and Development Unit of the Ministry of Development.
The book on the Proceedings of the Congress was published in June 2007. The hardcover (ISBN:99917-1-206-2) costs $18 and softcover costs $15 (ISBN: 9917-1-207-0). A copy of APBIOKNOPPIX 2/BIOSLAX CD is also included in the book
